I'm having trouble eating breakfast..

Does anyone else have that problem? I NEVER eat breakfast, but I know it's so important. If I have a late start to the day (which is rare) I manage to eat around 10am or so, and it makes a HUGE difference. However when I have school/work and am up at 5:30am I CAN'T EAT. Then I don't get a chance to eat until lunch.
Does anyone have any good ideas for eating so early? I need help :(

    even if you don't have an appetite(which is usually my problem early in the morning) try eating something small and quick. A banana or make a quick smoothie(skim milk blended with your choice of fruits).Any thing you can do to just slowly train yourself to get a few calories in. It's truly an important meal of the day. Gets your metabolism going.

    I have a problem with that too...I have 2 big cups of coffee which is bad due to the dehydration of caffeine.

    My kids don't like breakfast either ...they get a stomach ache:sick: but I have trained them to at least have some of a protein shake in the morning before school.

    I usually eat breakfast at 10:00am also & log it in as breakfast. I'm probably not a good example either but I'm just not hungry "yet".:tongue:

    Can you put something in your bag to eat when you wake up a little bit? If you're not hungry at 5:30, maybe grab a yogurt, protein shake, protein bar or even ceral in bag so you can eat around 7 or 8. It gives you a little wiggle room in the morning, but still gets your metabolism up for the rest of the day.

    i usually just eat an apple when i wake up because im not all that hungry then like 2hrs later a yogurt and a few hours later my lunch

    It's not that you can't eat... it's that you choose not to. Maybe you're not hungry, maybe you haven't left yourself enough time... whatever the reason, remember that it's a choice you make, not something that's been imposed on you.

    That being said, starting to eat breakfast when you've never done so before can be a difficult change to make. It's hard to reason with yourself to eat when you're not hungry, especially since conventional wisdom says you shouldn't. Start small. A glass of milk is a good start. It's quick, contains a decent mix of carbs and protein, and won't make you feel too full. Add some fruit like a banana or a piece of toast once you get into the habit, and then expand your repetoir of choices as you go along. Sounds like you're already aware of how important breakfast is. You just need to make the choice to have what you do match what you think.

    If you're in a time crunch, or the thought of food just makes you go "blech!", I high recommend a liquid meal. Slim Fast, Boost, and Ensure are all low calorie meal alternatives that will fill you up with the nutrients you need. Personally I like Ensure the best. :)
