Creating a playlist for running...

Disclaimer - I think i just figured this out, but so far I am in the theory stage, will have to test this on an actual run...
Someone posted a link to http://rockmyrun.com the other day. Which I just checked out, and it seems neat. Playlists are arranged by beats per minute, to help you pace your run.
So i got thinking, I wish i could sort my own music by beats per minute. And, I can
I downloaded BPM Analyzer by MixMeister, it's free btw. http://mixmeister.com/bpmanalyzer/bpmanalyzer.asp
Now I am running all my music through it. This adds the BPM tag to all the files. Since I haven't figured out how to update just those tags in my iTunes Library, i am re-importing all my files. Then I right-click in the sort-bar at the top of the music, make sure it displays BPM info, and voila, I can now sort all my music by BPM.
Now i just have to figure out which ones to use... oh, and i don't know how accurate it is yet.
Anyways, just thought I'd mention it...

I love love love Mix Meister!! I use this whilst DJing, too! The only thing I find is it gives you an average BPM (which is how all songs are done), and sometimes I add a song with a weird time signature change or a retarded tempo change, making my work out interesting indeed! I've learned to listen to the whole song (even if you think you know it!!) to avoid suddenly being expected to break into a full out sprint, or finding a complicated time signature that is impossible to keep you on beat!0

Ha! Just noticed that on a song by Alanis Morissette, good to know they arent all like that.0

You run to Alanis Morissette!? We should be friends!!! Incidently, anything by Chris Cornell (Sound Garden, Audioslave, etc) is terrible to run to. He has weird drum tracks.0

Lol, alanis is just the first artist on the list (never did buy an album by A) the Rasmus, vines and eve6 are more dependable beat wise to run to though...0
