In the beginning, I found logging my calories was fun. Kind of like a puzzle. If you want to eat a certain something, you might need to cut here or edit there to fit it into your daily allotment.

Lately, I've just been bored of food. I think it's part to do with the fact that I now see food as calories. Originally I saw food as food, sweet, salty, delicious food. Now I feel like I **** my head to the side to stare down whatever it is that has my attention and more often than not, I put it back.

Anyone else find that they're not motivated to eat?

I know how you feel..... I am motivated to eat. But I just have a hard time picking something... Because all I think about are the calories. I get hungry then stand in my kitchen for like 20 minutes deciding....well I could have this for X amount....or make some of that for X amount...but neither of them are really what I wanted...and the cycle never ends.

I want meatloaf, scallops and tilapia and chicken fried steak and watermelon. All else is pretty uninteresting right now! I eat because I must!
  • Sadly I agree with you.....Because if I don't I feel guilty...and I see nothing as far as results.

There is a fine line between watching your calories in order to lose weight and becoming obsessed with calories in food to the point where eating is not enjoyable. Don't go too far the way of the latter. Food IS delicious and it IS enjoyable. Just don't overindulge. I firmly believe that you should thoroughly enjoy whatever calories you choose to consume.
