Question?

I have a stationary bike at home, and its very old and I can't loosen the bolts to move the seat down(I'm a shorty). Its not extremely uncomfortable, but it is a little more difficult to ride than I would like.
Also, plain and simple fact the dang seat hurts my butt! Lol
I was wondering if a recumbant(spelling)would be burning the same amount of calories as a stationary bike? Is it classified the same thing?
I think it would just be easier for me to have the recumbant than using the stationary.
Any info please message me or reply on here. Message would be easier, as I forget to check these!
