Course Suggestions

I love being a student, and despite having a BS and a M.Ed., I have decided to return to school, not to earn another advanced degree, rather for my own personal enjoyment and enrichment. And if a certificate, certification, or degree come from it, even better.
I have been thinking about taking health/PE classes to learn more about the body, nutrition, weight management, exercise ideas and techniques, personallizing these, etc. I.e. courses that would lead to a better, healthier lifestyle for me and possibly personal trainer certification.
So, after looking at courses offered at the community college near my home, and where I happen to teach myself, I have come up with the following courses to possibly take, I have come up with the following:
HLTH 154 Nutrition, Exercise, & Weight Mgmt: Designed to help the student better understand the relationship of dieting and exercise to obesity. Emphasis will be on the practical application of effective methods of weight management, including physical and behavior approaches. Fad diets, eating disorders, common problems of dieting, and proper eating habits will be studied.
PE 155 Physical Fitness & Wellness: Designed to help the student understand and evaluate wellness and exercise needs and develop an individual physical fitness program. The information presented represents a consensus of presently available scientific evidence in the areas of exercise physiology and health. It is recommended that students be enrolled in a physical fitness course such as PE 160, 161, 260 or 261.
PE 160 Physical Fitness I: An introduction to and participation in an individual physical fitness program using a combination of resistance training and aerobic conditioning. After initial orientation and assessment, students will be provided opportunities to improve levels of muscular and cardiovascular fitness using a prescribed program of exercise. The student has the option of enrolling in a graded section or a pass/fail section at the time of registration.
PE 180 Personal Trainer Certification Prep: This course introduces the fundamentals of personal training to help prepare students for a national fitness certification examination. Students will learn how to develop and implement an individualized approach to exercise leadership in healthy populations and/or those individuals with medical clearance.
All of these interest me, however, I feel torn about 2 things. 1) taking 4 classes on top of teaching 8 classes and working 10 - 20 hours a week at a pt job. 2) taking a course that I'm graded based on how many hours I put in at the on campus gym when I am paying for a gym membership already.
Which of the classes would you take and why? Which would you think would be most beneficial for my above stated goal?

I'd go with the nutrition one, and couple it with a Chef class.
But that's just me - I love preparing food :happy:0 -
I want to take cooking classes too, but you have to take the food safety course and I don't want to take it.0
