Applesauce vs. Butter?

Does anyone know the equivalent of substituting applesauce for butter in a recipe? So, if a recipe calls for 8 tbsp (1 stick) of melted butter, how much applesauce would use instead?
Im making pumpkin pancakes from a mix I picked up at Trader Joes and dont want to put the butter in it!
