6 weeks ago I started a C25k app on my phone. I AM NOT a runner and never have been but I would like to like to run. So I remember when I would get pains in my side from the 1 min jogs and then the 3 min jogs seemed SO LONG. Then during one 5 min jog I remember crying pushing myself through it cause I just wanted to give up all at a 5.0mph pace. Now I just completed 2, 8 min jog stretches without holding onto the treadmill, no tears, and at a 5.3mph pace. I just wanted to share with someone/anyone cause it was a pretty big deal for me

Good for you - well done. I started at the gym a few months ago and my PT had me on about 2.5km/h and i was holding onto the treadmill (yes just at walking pace - lol). Am very pleased with myself that i can run a few minutes at 5.5 - 6.0km/h without holding on. Doesnt sound like much but it was a big deal to me too and i hope I can get up to where you are at soon but i know the great feeling of accomplishment at not holding on and even being able to run now is fantastic - congrats.0
