Anyone else feel it's possible to improve dramatically or just a looooong road to a false fantasy?

I think it's important to know what's realistic for your own body/genetics.
I'll never have a body like Miranda Kerr's because I'm just not built that way. Even at my thinnest, I was never any smaller than a size 6, my thighs still touched, my fingers were still fat and stubby, and I had wide upper arms. I'll never have the small, perky breasts I'd prefer or long, slender fingers, or cute toes, and that's okay. I know what's reasonable and attainable for ME--I can't look like a lot of "ideals" because it's just not genetically possible unless I dabble with plastic surgery.0 -
But what if you don't know what is reasonable, because you were never lean? For some of the people here it is easy to say: " I just want to fit into old clothes again" or "I want to wear size xx again", but what if you were always overweight?
I really got no clue what is normal or what is not, what is realistic and what is just fantasy crap that the media wants me to believe in. At university there are sooo many girls around that look like the girls on tv or in the magazines, so somehow it seems to be reachable, but is it for me? I've got no idea!0
