Just curious.... does the gym you work for allow you to keep your kids in their daycare while you are at work?

I have some friends who work at our YMCA and they are allowed to keep their kids in the child care there while they work.

My job used to let me..(the daycare at the gym had that rule about how kids can only be there for an hour for members and staff..of course I was the only personal trainer with a child!)

What I did was I became VERY good friends with the daycare people. I would also PAY them extra (on the side) on top of what they got. I am pretty sure i probably would have gotten fired if the gym found out...

    But they didn't.

I would only use it every now and then though. It wasn't my primary daycare at at all. But there were times I had no choice but to bring my son. And the daycare people were super sweet. Treat them nice, pay them a lil extra and they looked out for me and my son.

I think that's my biggest issue right now in trying to find a job.... childcare. The only friend I have who can do it for a rate I can afford compared to the pay I will get lives about 15 minutes away from me so I have to find somewhere hiring that is somewhere between me and her... which is like 2 places, and they aren't hiring evidently... but if I could find a gym that would allow this I would so be set....

this for daycare workers and class instructors (for the child care room for when people exercise). They also don't have the same time limits as long as they are working.

office staff has to find alternate child care. There is a preschool there that the staff is welcome to use and pay for.
