Im 24 just had my first baby on June12th, and have decided to change my diet and start exercising to lose the baby weight. Im started at 164 and want to get down to 130lbs for my 5'4" frame. I have only been on MFP for about 6 days now and want some advice. Please view my food diary and exercise diary for the past few days and let me know am I eating ok? Are my meal times good? Protein/carb/fat ratio fine? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I understand that Im new at this and can't possibly know everything about diet and exercise so I want brutally honest advice. THANKS and God Bless!!!!

Your fat intake is too low for my liking, especially if you're breast feeding. There are fat soluble vitamins that you and baby need, and essential fats that you can't make and have to eat, so do a bit of reading and think about that. Perhaps the normal yoghurt is a better idea than the non-fat version.
There's quite a lot of calories from fruit which is essentially sugar - proteins and fats are more important so consider other snacks.0 -
You shouldn't worry about your weight so soon. Breastfeeding will definitely help with melting the pounds away. Enjoy being a new mother while it lasts. They grow very quickly. That's the only advice that I can give you.0

Eat all your calories if you are breast feeding. If you work out and breast feed exclusively 1400-1500 calories aren't going to cut it, you need to fuel your body.0

Try sauteing your veggies in olive or coconut oil to add healthy fat. Also avocados and nuts are good choices. make sure you eat enough and drink plenty of water to help with your supply.0

What she said,
You aren't eating enough calories.0 -
Another vote for eating more. Add 300 calories to your day to compensate for the nursing. Like Yarwell said, healthy fats. 1 tablespoon of Olive Oil has around 150 calories. It adds up fast when you go with the healthy fats. Your food choices are fantastic! Welcome to MFP, congratulations on your new little one and I wish you the best on your new adventure!0

When I was breast feeding I ate about 1700 calories. You need the fuel to create the milk. My doctor told me if I eat below what she told me, I might be able to produce. You will still lose weight while breast feeding , take the little one out for a walk in her stroller. Relax, but you can still be active and enjoy your baby!0

You need to eat your caloire level plus half of your exercise calories back.0

She logs the nursing in her diary so she doesn't need to add any more calories, just eat all the ones MFP allots her.0
