Eat your exercise calories?

I'm a breastfeeding mom of a 6 month old and in the past, I have found that when I eat the calories set for me plus the extra 500/day plus my workout calories, I don't loose weight.
I'm afraid though, that if I don't eat my workout calories, I will crash my metabolism.
Any thoughts???
