Sugar in homemade smoothies?!?

I just added sugar to my food diary and whoa my fruit smoothie I make at home has 33 g of sugar in it!!!
1 c fage greek yogurt
1 c of almond milk
a handful of frozen fruit
1 banana
ice
I know banana's have sugar in them but I'm not going to stop eating banana's due to their sugar content, they are still good for you and I'm eating them with something else.
I've been making this smoothie every morning for about 2 weeks or so, it's so easy and I can drink it on my way to work.
Should I reinvent this smoothie? Is that a ridiculous amount of sugar for one meal? It seemed so healthy.
Do other people make similar smoothies with less sugar?

Plain yogurt has sugar too, more than you'd think. Lactose *is*sugar, so you'll find it in all dairy products. I don't sweat sugars from fruit or dairy, I try to avoid added sugars. Different strokes for different folks though, as some people think ALL sugar is to be avoided. Do your own research and decide for yourself what is acceptable to you.0

I wasn't worrying about any sugar or carbs that came from the fruit that I eat. And I've been eating this smoothie for a while now. It just surprised me how much sugar was there and I was wondering if anyone had a lower sugar recipe or if others also don't sweat the natural sugars.
Maybe I have to go back to hard boiled eggs, peanut butter and an english muffin.0 -
dont sweat it! Just worry about added sugars! And eat fruit in moderation... like you are doing. Like, don't eat 5 bananas
sounds very similar to my skinny green monster smoothie.... yum! (1/2 cup vanilla greek yogurt, 1/2 cup almond milk, 1 frozen banana, 1 T peanut butter, 1 T ground flax, 2-3 cups baby spinach)0 -
Woo Hoo! New smoothie recipe. That one sounds good.0

It's the sugar that makes it yummy!
Seriously though, you are getting vitamins, protein, fiber. I wouldn't worry about it, if it were me.0 -
Thanks everybody! I just wanted a little reassurance.0
