Fair Time! This Could Get Ugly...

Well, we're taking the kids to the State Fair tonight. To say I'm nervous is an understatement. Must stay away from the deep fried twinkies/snickers/butter/kool-aid and all other awesome fried fatty foods. I'm even going to try and avoid the most-delicious lemon shake-ups.

Maybe I'll indulge a bit and have a giant turkey leg, or some ice cream. There was a reason I got fat...

    I went to the fair last weekend! Then today I found out that 11 people there had come down with swine flu!! Luckily I didn't go in the pig building, but yikes. The good thing about being vegan is that when I go to the fair I don't really even have any food options haha. Although deep fried oreos could be vegan depending on how they were prepared...

    I hope you have fun and yes it is good to see people supporting/attending after what happened last year.

    The Iowa State Fair begins August 9th. For a few weeks now my goal has been to be under 200 before AND after the fair. I think I just might make the before part. It's the after that might kick me in the tail.

    Went to the Paso Robels state fair to see Loverboy, Pat Benatar and Journey.
    1. Got lost twice. (I wasn't driving.)
    2. Took forever to park somewhere.
    3. Long line to buy tickets just to get inside fair grounds.
    4. Huge mass of people trying to get into concert and missed most of the first group.
    5. Had to stand in massive line to use porta potty that had pee all over the place and no TP.
    6. When we got back to my car, the drivers side window was halfway down and wouldn't go back up so hubby had to drive 40 miles at midnight with the windows down and got super cold! Turned out someone tried to break into my car cause I had my iPod cable hanging from its plug and they must have thought I'd be dumb enough to leave my iPod in the car. :noway:
    7. Pat and Journey were awesome!! lol
