do we have a capacity on the number of friends we can have?

that is the only reason i see for deleting people that are inactive....why would you delete these people? i don't because i know they will need support when they get their *kitten* back in gear!

I would like to only have one page, so when someone checks out for a couple weeksI delete them.

this seems false, some of my very successful weightloss friends have like 600 friends!

The answer is 1000. I've hit it and had to delete inactives. Since then, I periodically delete inactives (after a month) because it's kind of embarrassing having that many people on my list.

I think we are allowed to have 1000, but honestly I'm not here to support the people that may potentially someday get their *kitten* back in gear, I am only here to praise those that are killing it here and now!!!

3 day and I delete unless I know you in real life or I have a special reason for keeping you.

I wouldn't even know how to delete someone.

I'm a firm believer in only keeping as many friends as you are willing to TRULY support. If you're not going to give every MFPeep of yours kudos and praise for their accomplishments, then why be friends with them in the first place?

I keep them in hopes that they'll come back. I end up caring about my friends so it's hard to let go.

I do delete someone if they have nothing written about them in their profile, no avatar and have not logged in for awhile.

I try to keep mine to the number of people I actively communicate with (I do this with twitter, facebook, and any other media tool I use). What's the point in hoarding friends? It's just needless clutter that you'll need to dig through in order to find the people you actually want to interact with.

See, we could make qualifications like at amusement parks. Must be this size to be my friend. I could get on board with that.
