Antibiotics

I've been taking antibiotics for about a week. I'm just wondering if they dry you out. The scale says I've lost 9 pounds this week. I'm kind of hesitant to log any of it. I'm going to cross check on another scale tomorrow. If the weight is still gone I'll put it on the scoreboard.

Anyone had any experience with this?

I never lost weight on antibiotics.
  • It could be that your metabolism has increased to help fight the infection. Hair and fingernails will grow at a increased rate and you generally will burn more calories at rest (BMR increase) your body temp rises (fever) You should drink plenty of water with any antibiotics to help your body eliminate them from the body and prevent dehydration..
