Okay I have this problem. When I workout, my feet burn really bad. It feels like I just have to kick my shoes off. Sometimes I do and it feels so much better like I have been relieved. The problem is I can never finish a workout because my feet burn really bad. I am flat footed. I don't want to wear not wear any shoes because I don't want to risk injuring my foot or toes. Also, I wear 990 New Balances. These http://www.newbalance.com/New-Balance-990/M990,default,pd.html Mines are grey. What could be this problem?

Not sure if I can help. Is the bottom of your feet dry ??? Maybe start to apply moisturizer and really lather it on...especially at nite time. I hope you get better responses and better information than I can provide!!!! You need to wear footwear when you exercise -- you don't want to mess up your bone structure in your feet!0

Maybe you have a yeast infection on your feet.0

Burn?? Hmm... Maybe try thicker, more swear absorbing socks? Are your shoes too tight?
edit: I HATE new balance shoes or any of those shoes that promote that they help you tone up better. I had a pair and it would make my legs HURT (but NOT in a good way) and my mom wore the same pair and actually tore her hamstring and the doc who fixed it said it was possible that the shoes stressed her hamstring enough to snap.0 -
Just the fact that you have the problems with the shoes on and it's remedied by taking them off signals to me that it is probably the shoes. Try finding a running store that does free assessments; they have you go on a treadmill for a few minutes while observing and analyzing your gait/stride, then recommend what features you might need. Since you know you're flat-footed to begin with, it's probably a good idea to find out what sort of shoes are best for you to use.0

Not like burning more like muscle pain or something! I don't wear socks that might be the problem.
Edit: I will try with my Nike's. Thanks for the help. I am really flat-footed like barely no arch at all.0 -
I agree with Zug and recommend an assessment. In the meantime play around with different ways to lace your shoes. A quick search on the Internet should show you options. Don't feel, weird if you have to tie them differently for each foot, they aren't perfect mirrors of each other.0

It is mainly my right foot. I am going to try to Nike's out tomorrow. Sometimes I can't wear shoes that have arches in them.0
