Snack to Maximize Your Workout?

I usually work out in the morning and have some Greek yogurt beforehand. I seem to run out of steam if I try to work out on an empty stomach. Is there a better choice pre-workout?

    depending on what workout I'm going to do will determine what 'fuel' I will have.

    Sometimes I have some almonds. Sometimes I have a small protein shake.

    My morning workout is usually 2 miles or so with my dog - pretty brisk pace.

    Almonds are a great protein punch :) I pair it with a greek yogurt :)

    I tried having a bar before workout and didn't find it really helped me too much, it was alright and empty stomach choice was not a good one when I tried that as well. I just have a protein shake and that seems to work every time, after I'm done with my workout I would have breakfast about 45minutes later.

    I do about 45/1hr of cardio and 30/45 minutes of strength training 3/4 times a week.
