Hi all,
I have only done this a week, but so far eating more just makes me gain a little. But somewhere I read that if you change your calorie goal up a little, you might lose faster. I went to profile, but am unsure how to adjust calorie goal. Any help would be appreciated! Also, I know I am exercising a lot since its summer, but I feel like I am eating SO much....but not ready to give up yet! Any comments appreciated there as well.

I think you have to change the amount you want to lose in a week to change the calorie intake. I'm not a pro for sure and there may be another way. Looking to see if there is another way...
  • You go to home, then goals. You can change fat/protein/carb percentages as well:smile:

choose a lower rate of weight loss would be a first step.. if that doesn't get you as close as you want you can customize your goals. But 2 lbs a week is a 1000 calorie deficit, 1.5 lbs is 750 calorie deficit per day 1 lb is 500 calories and 0.5 lbs is 250 calories... you can can fine-tune in those increments by decreasing your rate of weight loss to get extra calories.
  • Hi! Thanks all.....pandorian, that worked, though it seems ironic that if you say you want to lose less per week, your calorie goal goes up and then you might lose more if your calorie goal is higher! ( eating more.....)

The "planned" weight loss per week is a straight-forward "calculated" number, based on your BMR x activity level - your desired rate of loss deficit. Just because you're set to 1 lb a week doesn't mean you'll lose 1lb per week every week, some weeks you may lose nothing, another week you may lose 2 or more and another week you may gain. There's more than just the numbers to it.

1.goals, 2. change goals toward bottom and than 3. custum if you have a specific amount of calories you have in mind.
  • Tnx.... So much to learn here....used to seem so simple, right? Eat less, lose!
