uggghhhh...fell off the wagon

I haven't been on my fitness pal in a few days because I just haven't had a lot of time. Been working ten hour days and waking up at 2 in the morning to be at work by the time lunch rolls around I am too tired to do anything but relax for thirty minutes before I have to get back to work. So I haven't been as strict with my diet as I need to be. Plus with trying to get my wedding organized without the help of my sister/ former maid of honor it's been kind of stressing. I fell off the wagon yesterday and ate at long john silvers and little cesears pizza. My calorie total was not good. Don't forget to factor in the donuts they had or the cookies I had the day before. Ugghhh...any advice on how to avoid stress filled binges? I feel kinda crummy about it despite the fact my fiance says don't worry you will get back on track tomorrow. I'm glad he has sooo much faith in me, cuz after a day like today I don't have that much faith in myself.

Do you have a smartphone? I use my phone a lot to track my calories with the MFP app.
As for help with planning the wedding is there someone else that can help you with the planning? Any bridesmaids or good friends or family that may be able to help? Or maybe you could just put the wedding planning off for a couple of days so you can just focus on work that is if the wedding isn't just around the corner. It sounds like you have a lot going on with work & wedding planning no wonder you're stressed out.1 -
I would say don't worry about falling off the wagon for a couple days, but remember at some point you need to jump back on One thing that seems to help me with my stressful days (they are a good 12 hour day) is I force myself to work out; whether its a run or just something that gets my heart pumping for 15 minutes, it always seems to be a good stress reliever -the hardest part is honestly getting off the couch and doing it. Good luck in your weight loss goals!!1

I have an unusual work schedule also. I try to eat every three hours if possible. I have to have protein to keep my sugar balanced. I have a fruit smoothie for breakfast before I leave home, or on the road to work. (Or a protein bar). Three hours later, 1 slice of cheese and a banana. three hours later, cottage cheese and grapes. Start work @ 5:00 a.m. try to eat lunch @ 1:00 so I am not starving for dinner @ 3:00 or 4:00--I would have to have another meal. So around 3:00 I have another piece of cheese. Try to have dinner around 5:30, bed at 8:00. I also have to work extra hours alot, so I try to have some good safe snacks in my locker: peanuts, 100 calorie snack, etc. Also, I try to keep a frozen dinner w/my name on it in the freezer at work. Hope this helps. The stress does not help--that is for sure. I buy flowers for myself. They make me happy because I love them and I know I did something good for myself instead of getting a candy bar. Also, I sometimes need something with a burst of flavor--jolly ranchers are good and low in fat and calorie. :flowerforyou:1

The good thing about the wagon is that when you fall off, it doesn't keep going with out you while you are trying to get up. It waits for you to stand up, refocus yourself and get back on holding on even tighter since now you know how you fell off to begin with.1
