This has probably been asked before, but do you eat back your exercise calories? Seems to me that if you eat them back, you would just be maintaining your current weight - am I wrong? I was eating them back and was stalled at losing any weight . Only lost 0.8 this past week. Any feedback will be appreciated.

It depends on what your goals are. If you are eating fewer calories than you expend, then you will lose weight. The general rule of thumb is to have a deficit of 3500 calories per week. 3500 calories = 1 pound

Losing almost a lb in a week isn't stalling. That is a good loss.

.8 in a week is a decent loss.

MFP is set up so that the calorie goal it gives you should allow you to lose weight without any exercise. If you exercise, you are earning yourself more food for the day.

I don't eat all my exercise calories, maybe 60 to 70% to allow for any errors in calorie burned estimations.

It might seem that way, but its not true. Do a search if you are interested in learning more. This is discussed daily.

Ok.....why do you think that? What about my post doesn't make sense? Assuming the estimates are correct (and they might not be) you should eat back exercise calories and still lose your goal weight.
