I looked at my ticker and I've been w/MFP since July and it's at 0 pounds lost. GRR! I actually weigh 2 pounds more than when I started MFP.

I've been counting calories and exercising A LOT.

What I think might be hindering me: I am not doing enough strength training and at least 1 wkend day is usually a complete wash. I end up yo-yoing throughout the whole week and then end up back where I was.

If my body likes being 147 I'd rather eat what I want if the scale is not going to budge! GRR frustrated...:grumble:

Hang in there. The scale might move yet. Have you noticed your clothes fitting differently or your measurements changing. The scale is not usually my friend.

maybe a little diff in clothes, but nothing extreme. I just cheated and put my most recent high weight in the ticker. So now I have more total to lose but maybe seeing the little ladybug moving along will help me psychologically

Marilla, I feel your pain. Been there, done that. I actually RE-started MFP 2 weeks ago and the first week was great, lost 4 pounds, the next week nothing. I'm doing everything right, working out, watching my calorie intake and getting a little tired of not seeing anything. BUT, I keep telling myself 'the scale will move, just give it another week'. You have to keep giving yourself pep talks or you will just go back to eating like crap and gaining weight, then it will be starting all over again. Can't tell you how many times I've done that.I'm so done with feeling fat, unsexy and crappy all the time. Not only does my husband deserve a healthy, sexy wife, I owe it to myself to feel good and nothing's stopping me on this journey this time! NOTHING! I don't care if it takes me 6 months to lose the weight I want to lose, it's going to happen! I'll stop at nothing!

Just hang in there and keep thinking positive, it's your only alternative!

I'm here if you need me! Add me as a friend!

Couple of things to try if you're not already doing them.
Weight or measure everything you eat. I know this is critical for me.
Buy yourself a good heartrate monitor and log the calories it says instead of what MFP says. Also, make sure it's set correctly. I have a Polar F6 and love it.
    Drink plenty of water.

But mostly, must stick with it. You might be at your ideal weight, and if so, just concentrate on eating healthy and exercising. Best of luck!

Don't give up!!! It has taken me a year to lose 30 lbs. When I get down I remind myself that it took a while for the weight to come on, so it is also going to take a while for it to come off. Also, the longer it takes to come off the more likely it will stay off. don't stop exercising, and allow yourself treats in moderation, so that you don't feel deprived Good luck to you. You are not alone. We are all going through this:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

Don't be embarrassed! You're still trying, so you haven't quit, and as far as i'm concerned, that means there's nothing to be ashamed of. Even if you haven't lost, I bet your a lot healthier, and you probably feel better than you used

I had the same problem as you for quite some time, and found investing in a scale has helped a TON! Apparently my idea of a tablespoon of peanut butter was a lot more like 2, and there were loads of other things I was miscalculating. I thought I was eating 1200cal a day, but it was frequently upwards of 1800:noway:
