Jumping half way through.

Hi, my name is Aaron. For the last few years my weight has been holding between 230 - 240 pounds. I was not happy with my weight, or looking at myself in the mirror. I could not cuddle up behind my wife a night with out hurting her back. I spent a year going through circuit weight training, and while I was able to build my strength, and cut my body fat percent down a little, I could not get rid of the gut. This summer I have completely changed my lifestyle and have gone from 234 down to 219 in about a month. A friend of mine suggested I try myfitnesspal.com because it is easier to lose weight when you have someone else to do it with, and here there is a community trying to lose weight and supporting each other. Since joining just a few days ago I have already added 5 pounds to the amount of weight I have lost. My current goal is to get down to 200 pounds. Once I have reached that, I will see whether or not I wish to continue going down or just maintain. It will depend on how I feel and look at that point.

You're on the right track, and taking great steps! Welcome to MFP, Aaron! I'm happy to share any information I've gleaned from my own experiences, if you need it, and I'm ALWAYS researching stuff, so if you have questions, and not the time to research, I'm always up for a new challenge! Give the wife a hug for me!0
