SBF2 Reboot BOOgaloo! week of Oct 26

I get involved in what I'm doing all day, forget to eat and then eat too much bad food because I'm starving and it's easy.
This used to be a really big problem for me - I'd skip breakfast, get busy at work, forget lunch, and then grab a candy bar/chips/pizza/whatever once I finally remembered because I was starving. Eating breakfast has helped a lot, as well as making sure I bring my lunch and snacks with me.
It is late and I only just now remembered my pushups. I will have to do them tomorrow. I also need to do my DVD tomorrow to finish out my week. I was craving sweets a bit tonight, but I think I'm just stressed. I found myself casting around the kitchen earlier, looking for something... even though I had food leftover from dinner, and I wasn't hungry. So I talked myself out of there - whew. Now I just need to extract myself from under this kitty so I can go to sleep.
Happy Halloween! :devil:0 -
Yeah Halloween! I'll be watching football tonight, sigh. Not that I have a costume or anything, but football?
More yoga and biking for me today. Had a "tea cookie" last night after a wonderful huge salad (cabbage, iceberg, carrots - all shredded and covered with non-spicy peanut sauce) - it was a small cookie and absolutely perfect. I love perfect meals!

Super-spooky-Hallowe'en confession:
I skipped Bikram yesterday. Then, I got up early to go to the gym (boxing class) and ended up not feeling well enough to go. I'm suffering from some sort of too much work without careful food planning junk food digestion overload, which is why I feel terrible.
So, the plan is to re-boot and go to Bikram later today.
(I'm confused myself)
So, goals for the day are: eating regularly and not junk and, taking breaks from work for eating and exercising.
I'm just so eager to actually finish this thing that I'm getting in a zone and forgetting everything else. I have to remember that it's the everything else that helps the work get done.
I'm at the point now where it's just tightening up citations and going to the store to buy enough ink and paper to make four copies of the monster. Yay!

Today is a light day for me. Still not feeling 100%. Steve took Alex into the pool today (I am not swimming with AF!) and that was his first time to do that and it was the last class. Well, 15 minutes into the class they were called out of the pool because ants had infested the pool. :grumble: Oh well. Alex didn't seem to care. He's such a good kid.
Dropped some stuff off at Good will, return videos to the library. Not sure what else I am doing today, other than putting away laundry that I didn't finish yesterday. I am really wanting to go Christmas shopping! I need to go buy Alex a present. His b-day is in 18 days.
It's going to be a gorgeous day so maybe I will go for a walk/jog this afternoon by myself. That would be a nice change.
I have noticed I crave carbs and junk a whole lot more during this time of the month, but I'm doing okay. I just really want some fried chicken and french fries. :noway:
Have a great day everyone!

Dang it.
I think I actually have a stomach bug.
No leaving the house boogaloo.:grumble:0 -
Hope you feel better, V.
I love the extra hour. When it gets dark at 6, I may not like it so much. I like the extra hour in fall and the extended daylight in spring, but I think daylight savings is silly.
Today is more biking and yoga.
I started a list of stuff I need to get done around the house - well, let's just see what I can get done in two days.

Just got back from the gym. I read this "how to work out when you don't want to" article, and one of them hit me "allow yourself to have a bad workout". So, that's what I did. I just went for 30 minutes on the elliptical, and that was all (I did a high level of resistance with only a moderate speed). I'm sitting here trying to tell myself that I did enough, because I feel like I didn't. I'm weird.
Also, I think I might be getting sick. Woke up with a sore throat, runny nose, the whole glorious package. (luckily the stomach seems to have calmed down a bit) I went to the store and loaded up on vitamin c and oregano oil. I really, really, really can't afford to get sick again. I'm sick of being sick.
I'm going to try to tidy up the apartment in short bursts. The landlord has to come over and fix something (or better yet, hire someone, as my landlord tends to "fix" things and not really fix them), and right now it looks like a library exploded in my work area/dining area/first thing anyone sees when they come into the apartment. Then, it's more neverending marking and editing my appendix and bibliography.

I like the extra hour, too - although I am dreading leaving work in the dark for the next 6 months. Sigh. I think it's funny that we spend more months in daylight time than "standard" time now.
Yesterday was fun - I dressed up to hand out candy, and didn't eat any of it. It helps to buy stuff you don't like! Although I am starting to question whether I should really be handing out candy at all... but, what the heck. I did manage to get my pushups in, although it wasn't pretty. I need to do my JM DVD today if I'm going to meet all my goals for the week, but I really don't feel like it.
I seriously need to start cleaning my house. We're going to have 3 house guests for Thanksgiving, and are pretty much swallowed in clutter at the moment. (Hmm, that metaphor doesn't make any sense. Let's just say there in no place I could point my eyes in the entire house that would not have clutter.)
V, I think that's good advice. If your mental/physical energy level leaves you a choice between 30 minutes of moderate workout or nothing, go for the moderate workout. Hope you feel better. Have you ever tried Umcka drops? I started using those (along w/vit C and zinc) last year when I thought I was getting a cold, and they seemed to help.
Cleaning for an extra hour boogaloo! :ohwell:0 -
Good morning,
Yesterday was cheat day. I really enjoyed dessert last night. You enjoy it more when you don't get it very often.
I didn't do very well last week, at least not on carbs. I don't think I lost anything. The work on the house is done so I am going to try to get back into my cleaning routine and get my work outs in. I find that I enjoy working the upper body more than the lower body, so if that is my motivation right now, then I will do taebo and Shred, so I can get both upper and lower. I will probably throw in some walks this week since it's gorgeous out.
This week's goals:
get back on track
Feeling a bit discouraged but I will push through. If I quit now I will just get fatter. I don't want that.
Pushing through boogaloo! (I'm a poet and I didn't even know it.)
