I know that weight loss is a slow process if you want to maintain it and that we are our worst critics. But what have YOU all done that has I guess "sped up" results? And does anyone else set dates or general ideas for weight loss? I wanted to be a size 8 by November, but I don't see that happening. Does anyone else set dates and what do you do if you can't reach it? How do you cope with it?

I'm hoping to reach the 10% reduction sometime mid september, this is feasible given my rate of weightloss at the moment. It's my first official goal and I've put it in my diary but if I don't reach it it's ok, I'll review my food journal and see what I could have done differently (eg, have I been ill?). I have no clue how much I'll need to lose to drop down a dress size, I think my goals will primarily be number on a scale (eg. 10%, 20% off) but above all nutrition and fitness goals.
Eg. my goal in July was to have breakfast every day and not have any takeaway. My goal in August is to get at least 5 servings of different veg/fruit per day and play squash once per week (I just started and I know I'll get disappointed when I don't magically improve after the first week so I need to stick with it).0 -
You actually have a really nice way of planning out your goals. Mine are all weight based, but I think I'm gonna modify mine to monthly improvements food/exercise wise now (:0
