I did REAL push-ups!

On L1, D8 of JM 30DS last night and decided I was going to try to do a few real push-ups instead of the modified ones. I made it through both reps doing regular push-ups!

Please note that while doing modified push-ups, I still felt it working on my arms and upper chest and didn't think I was strong enough to do the regular. What I found is that it didn't really put any more stress on my arms or chest, but I sure did feel it in my abs and it made a difference for the rest of the workout.

Kick those modified (girly) push-ups to the curb!

    Great job! I too was under the mistaken impression that I couldn't do real pushups (as I could barely do the modified ones.) I started a 100 pushup challenge three weeks ago and have been loving it. Our bodies can do so much if we can just get our minds out of the way. Keep up the good work! :smile:

    Way to go!! I've been using JM's Ripped in 30 and 30 Day Shred workouts in my regular routine for a long time, and the only modifier I haven't kicked is those push ups! I'll give the full push up a try when I work out tomorrow (I saw this about 40 minutes too late to try today!) :)
