Thanks to those of you that gave me ideas on what to eat before my first 5k this morning. Here are the results: They had to postpone the race for quite a while because of sever thunderstorms but we finally got going and then the heavens opened up and it poured down rain for the first mile or so, then the heat and humidity set in with a vengence. Egad. I think I have just about had it when my son-in-law appears and is cheering for me.... finished at 36:39 besting my PR by 2:25. WooHoo!!!! My wife and daughter ran also and we all had a wonderful time! Next race schedled for October.
