I just got a friend request from someone who lives near me. This means soooooo much to me as I have practically become a hermit. NWfamilygal is one of my best friends and she is next door but I am thinking it would be nice to find more gals in our area to form a team/gang, LOL! Anyone from Medford area that sees this, and you want to join in, please feel welcome! Also, men, if you want to join you are welcome as well!! I think it would be fun to meet maybe 1 time a month, or, maybe a week. Any feedback welcome. Plus, even if we are small in number, we could help those out there that don't know about MFP and get em in here;):flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: If anyone reads this that is doing something in their own "home-town" area, I would love to here your story and how it's going!! Thanks much, denise in sams valley oregon:)

If you decide to take a "field trip" to Portland, I am just across the river in SW Wash. Good luck with your idea to meet up with locals. :flowerforyou:

I have met one person on the 50+ Women's thread that I post on regularly, and she lives in the Salem area. I met her and her hubby when I went to the Oregon State Fair. The nearest other person that I have gotten acquainted with (but not met face to face) lives about 170 miles north of here on the Olympic Peninsula.

that's awesome because my online friends have been such wonderful support. I belong to a trucker forum as well as this one. Im not a trucker yet but may be going to school to become one. I am looking at forestry and Medical Records too. I need more training to get a decent job, just haven't made up my mind which:)

Good to meet you! My brother lives in Vancouver WA. If you are coming across the 205 bridge going North, after you cross over the River there is a housing area on the left as you go up towards I-5. He and his wife live there:)

I don't know darlin, about how many gals are in FL but hang in there. I bet some are here:) I think you can do a "search" here to find out who is from Florida but let me check it out and get back to you. That would be smart for me to do for my areas as well!

Glad you are here, denise:happy: :flowerforyou:

Sounds like we are close to being neighbors. I live on the opposite side of I 205 near SR 500.

Also, a good friend of mine is a trucker (male) who has been driving for the same company for almost 20 years. He was OTR, but now does local runs. He said there is no money in that field anymore, and if he had it to do over again, he would have trained for something else when he got out of the printing business (because there was no money there either!! )

Med records should be a growth area, since healthcare is one of the few segments of the economy that is still growing.

    Good luck!!

I'm sure I mentioned all this already, LOL! Getting old and feeble. Well, hopefully, I won't have to be old and fat, LOL!! Have a great day!! Denise

One thing about dishwashing, there will always be dirty dishes!!! At least that is true at my house!!

Hope all those jobs will still allow you time to work on your fitness goals!! Happy November.

BTW, my doggies are spoiled rotten. If you want to read more about their antics, I post alot on the 50 + Women's thread under fitness and motivation.

Another way you can find a person's prior posts is to click on the number of posts that shows underneath their screen name when you are looking a a post of theirs and you can go back thru all the posts they have done. I am afraid I may have posted more than anyone cares to know about my doggies!!!

That looks like a Yorkie in your lap. I just added a third critter to the menagerie, and he is a 13 year old Yorkie--a sweet old boy named "Bradley."
