Is it just me or is the hot and humid weather of summer effect your workouts? Doesn't matter if I hit the pavement or hit the gym the last couple of months feel harder for me and I am not making the progress I wanted in my 5K training.

Somebody tell me it's not just me. :)

I feel ya. It's ridiculously hard for me to go run in the humidity. It's mid 90s here with humidity anywhere from 60%-90% when I run (I wait til the temp is under 85, but then the humidity creeps up). It's a pain in my side. literally. I had the opportunity to run on an indoor track a few weeks ago, and my HR stayed lower, i wasn't nearly as tired, and I could go longer. I'm counting down the days til fall. Heck, I'm counting down the days for mid 60s at sunrise or sunset. I'm happy with that! :)

It's ridiculously hot here right now, and yes it makes everything more difficult! Can't wait for fall  My favorite time of year!

I do any cardio early morning before the heat. The humidity doesn't make any differnce to me until the heat kicks in. The strength training is in an air conditioned gym. So, no problem there.

The heat and humidity are killing me! The weather pattern is doing a number on my head with sinus pressure. It just feels like such a chore right now. It seems I'm only getting one or two good days a week and the rest are just tough. It seemed easier two months ago.

Humidity is killing my motivation too.

Nope its not just you. Today's bike ride in 85% humidity was no fun. The runnings been brutal too. My advise just stick with it (no pun intended) Good luck on the 5K

it's not just you! Where I live, the 100+ degree weather makes it much more harder. I go in the early mornings or evenings, when it's more tolerable.
