I microwave everything for exactly 7 seconds. If you do that the food becomes negative calories and you can eat anything you want without having to exercise.

“It is concluded that there are only slight differences between microwave and conventional cooking on vitamin retention in foods.”

Well, what is the “slight difference” so I can examine it myself?

There is only a “slight difference” between us and apes…

“….our closest living relatives share 96 percent of our DNA. The number of genetic differences between humans and chimps is ten times smaller than that between mice and rats.” http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2005/08/0831_050831_chimp_genes.html

….But you surely won’t catch me dating an ape lol…

And for the record, I DO NOT think I am related in any way shape or form to an ape…apes are a different CREATED kind

I haven't used a microwave in six months except at work to heat up food cooked the night before. I want to get one though because it would make it so much easier to prep some things.

I appreciate your views. This is why I don't toast anything. Toasting causes cancer

So THAT'S where I went wrong. Do you think wattage affects that, or is it the number seven?

Wattage should be fine unless you have a very old microwave. The number seven is the most important thing and also works in other areas of weight loss. Eating things in 7s is good for your health, if you can't manage 7 you should at least aim for 5.

I also use the microwave to cook almost everything, but want to warn people to do it right -

===> Use a glass container whenever possible because of plastic! <===

Obviously that's not always practical: Who among us has NEVER eaten a microwave meal? But even BPA-free plastics still have other things you shouldn't want to eat. Ever microwaved something and seen little dots on the plastic container? That happens every time, just usually too small for you to see. Why not just go with glass, anyway? It doesn't stain from tomato sauce. :)

Plastics have their purposes, especially as lightweight storage containers - but heating food is not one of them.

The things people believe. Looks like most of us on here read the other post today. They are the ones who fall for the 'spider webs in the bubble gum' thing. LOL What? THAT'S not true either??????

but won't it make you go blind?
  • lol love it

I don't have a choice, my wall oven is broken and I don't have the funds to replace it and there is only so much you can do on the stove top so the microwave is my cooking best friend next to my grill
