Hi all. I am a 28 year old male and I guess I'm here because I have just reached a point where I am disgusted at what I've let happen to my body. 10 years ago I left Navy bootcamp at 196 lbs which was extremely thin for my large framed 6' 3" size. About 5 months out of bootcamp I was in the best shape of my life, weighing in at 215 lbs (mainly due to a strict 2 hour/ day weight lifting regimen).

Fast forward a decade. I have had 3 surgeries on my left knee (the last of which was in 2006) and have gone from hitting the gym to hitting the fridge. August 1st (when I decided enough was enough) I weighed in at a surreal 310 lbs.

It's one of those things that just kind of slaps you in the face. I'm ready to get back into shape no matter what it takes!

Good luck! I know with a health issue you will find it a bit more challenging to exercise, but take it from somebody who has experience with this, you will feel so much better if you don't allow yourself to give in to the easy excuses. I hope the best for you.
