I'm sure I read he runs on a treadmill a lot when doing the show.
Edited to say just seen that picture so clearly not!!:laugh:0 -
I dont understand HOW he stays the size he is.
If you've watched it over the years you'd see he is not the same size. He's gotten much bigger. Have to say though, I do like watching the show. :blushing:
I noticed this too. It's taking its toll.0 -
I love this show. I can't even imagine how anyone could eat that much in one sitting, though.
Also, aren't the issues with his weight and health the reason he now presents 'Man vs Food Nation' instead?0 -
He actually no longer does Man Vs. Food and actually stopped doing in in 2010 because of the weight he gained and how hard it was on his health. He now host's a show called Adam Richman's Best Sandwich in America, still food that's not good for you but it's still better then some of the food he was eating.0
-
Where have you been?
They did 4 or 5 seasons of just Adam Richman alone, then he "coached"others.
He is from Brooklyn via a Master's Degree in drama from Yale, so he knows how to entertain.
You mentioned 1,000 calories? I would think many dishes were closer to 5,000 calories.
There is another word for shows like this "Food Porn".0 -
Man vs. Food is awesome. If you don't like it don't watch. Simple.0

Oh we love Man vs Food here! Makes me feel ill a lot of the time! But wow, the portions of some "normal" meals!
I love this show! Haven't watched it since starting my diet though! To be fair most of the food they feature isn't a normal portion. it's a challenge!
No, I mean when they're just showing food in restaurants before he starts the challenges!
I meant that too. The "normal" menus people order from, foods shown, ingredients, preparation etc. Not the challenge itself.0 -

Food Nation only lasted Until April 2012 when he started Best Sandwich in America0 -
We love his show but I believe he doesn't do it himself anymore for health reasons. He now has a show called Man vs Food Nation in which they get some person there locally to try the challenge that is featured.0
-
We watch his show. He goes to some interesting cafe and shows some incredible portions he tries to shovel in. Hes not advocating we go out and eat those thing. Its a show you can watch or not. Just like food, you make your own decisions. Theres too much responsiblity being given to other people for our food choices already. Lets not blame Adam Richman.0

Good for him! I was more on about the restaurants and menu items that were featured in this program. And people feeling so relaxed ordering them.0 -

I live in UK, never seen that guy or any of his other programs before.0 -
I love man vs food but i still think the portion sizes And amount of fried food he eats is disgusting. But it's just an entertainment show, it's not trying to educate or advocate a lifestyle!0

It has been on the food channels for few years now, but it's not something a lot of people in the UK will have seen as not everyone has sky and if they do they probably don't watch those channels. Although they are showing the old Man vs Food on Dave now!0 -

Same here. I only saw the show for the first time today because its on a channel which is not the most popular. I thought it was amazing because I love everything to do with food but I will admit that it was disgusting(but in a good way!).0 -
