We are going to be going to Six Flags this week. Do I even try to count calories then or figure out how to calculate exercise or just try to make the healthiest choices possible & start counting again the next day? I'm new to this so I want to stick with it as closely as possible but wasn't sure what the typical member would do on a day at Six Flags. Suggestions?

When I do something like that, I figure I'll be doing quite a bit of walking all day. Since it's hard to figure out exactly how much exercise I'm doing (with all the standing in line and such) and how many calories I've eaten, I just try to be smart. I try not to over-eat, limit the junk, and drink lots of water.

One fun day isn't going to derail you. Just enjoy the day. :)

Hi, we have an amusement park near us that used to be a Six Flags, but was bought out a couple years ago by someone else. My family has season passes there, so we are there a lot! When I go, I bring my own snacks, drink only water or diet soda, and eat at the Subway that is located in the park (last time I had a 6 inch turkey sub, no mayo or cheese, lots of veggies). I don't know if your Six Flags has a Subway, but hopefully there will be other healthy options for you. I still count calories when I go because then I am aware of everything I eat....otherwise you might forget about any small snacks or splurges you might have. Just make the healthiest choices available, and think about all the walking you will be doing! Have fun!
