Looking for like minded friends to add.

Hey guys,

So I'm Tin...I just joined the site yesterday...a week ago I was 260.8 and this morning I was 258.2. I really love the site and I've already met some great people on here. I really need to meet people who work way too much, don't have any space to work out in and still make it work. I'm 26, but the age isn't really an important factor to me. I've been heavy my whole life (First diet was at 11) and I just...want to meet people in the same mind frame. It's been a long journey and I'm learning now that it was much harder because I tried to do it alone.

Current weight: 258.2
Goal weight: 170

I also love rock music, writing, and hiking when the sun isn't being too mean.
If you're located in central PA and want a workout buddy or activity partner, please let me know! I have one good friend that drags me out for hikes but I need more. :p

So yah if you need support, and can help me put down the ice cream, please let me know! :)

    HI and welcome :)) MFP is a fantastic site to help you on this road you've decided to travel. And isn't it more fun to do it with someone along for the ride!! You are younger than me, I'm 49 (50 in a few months) but I have some awesome friends on here and you're welcome to be one! Feel free to add me if you're interested. I'm on here daily. I currently weigh 156 and looking to get to 125 (cough cough, yeah that's a dream of mine :) It's so d*mn hard to get it off at this age though. I refuse to give up though. If I can do it, anyone can and together we all can!

  • Well done with the loss. I also have been heavy my whole life. As for the ice cream thing, get it out of the house. Maybe change to frozen yoghurt. I had a thing with energy drinks. The only way I could stop was to go cold turkey. I feel a lot better for it and now l'm starting to lose weight yay.

    Yes, I replaced my ice cream with a chocolate covered frozen banana...
    It's similar enough that I haven't had any ice cream for two weeks (Which is a big accomplishment!)

    I will get along to adding someone...right now I'm at work and being sneaky. : x

    Hey! I'm 25, work way too much, live in small quarters, write, and listen to rock and roll. We should be friends. I was overweight since the beginning of time (highest 303lbs), so I can definitely related to the journey.

    Ice cream is amazing. In fact, I'm partial to all frozen treats. So I can't advocate you putting it down. Instead, have you discovered the joy that is Skinny Cow? Or Chapman's vanilla frozen yogurt? 1/2 cup is 100 cal. Throw some berries on there and you're good to go. OR, frozen banana ice cream? It's a frozen banana. And you mush it up. And it's like ice cream. And it's awesome.
