I've hit a plateau in my weight loss! The first 40ish pounds came of very easily. The last few weeks it seems my weight hasn’t budge a lot. I haven’t changed anything in my diet or exercise. I have at least 40 more pounds to lose. Any suggestions/advice/help?? I am frustrated!

Have you adjusted your calories down since you lost weight? You burn fewer calories when you are smaller.

Also, a lot of people have success changing up their routine.

You'll need to either open your diary or tell us more about how many calories you're and what your workout routine looks like.

Otherwise the standard answer is to make sure you're eating enough, not under/overestimating anything, and change up your workout.

increase your daily calorie intake by 100 cals.Keep it that way for 2 weeks ,you will most likely see a change by the end of week 2,usually it is said you can increase 10% of what you eat for each 2 weeks without gaining.

I have hit a plateau also for about 2 months. The 50 came off very consistently. I feel thinner and go on the scale and it doesn't budge.. I was 1,200 calories up until a week ago, where I was told to increase it. I am about 1500 now. Fingers crossed, I get on the scale again tomorrow.
If you find out something worked, let me know!!!! It is so frustrating!

Do a reset (eat at TDEE at least a few weeks)
    Gain water weight
    don't freak out
do a small cut from TDEE
lose water weight and rest of weight
    done.

Thanks for all the great advise! The scale moved down a little today, so I am feeling much better. Even if the wieght doesn't come off as fast as before, I'm happy that the numbers are not going up!
