Shirataki Noodles (UK)

Hi everyone,

Not sure if this has been posted/announced already, but I received an email over the weekend from the online company I buy my Shirataki Noodles from (branded as 'Zero Noodles') to say that they will now be stocked at Holland & Barrett!

Their online price is £1.58 plus P&P so I'm assuming the instore price will be around the £1.58 mark. It's only on a trial basis for H&B to see if there's a genuine demand to stock them, so every Shirataki lover in the UK get down to your local store and buy them/request them!

    Is it true that these are carb/calorie free?
    How do they taste?

    Hi,
    Have you tried Miracle Noodle? I like it a lot and have been using it for a while. You can order online and they usually deliver on the following day!

    Shirataki has a gelatinous consistency and has no real flavour.

    love these. they sell them at whole foods and you don't get much but they do really well for me as a substitute. here on MFP they're listed as having 1 g of carb and no calories. they have the consistency of a rice noodle but maybe a tad more gummy. consistency never bothers me when it comes to food so it would help if it wouldn't for you lol. and there really isn't a taste. also, they smell like fish when you first open them so you have to rinse them under water in a strainer of some sort and they'll lose the smell. i always get the ones made from glucomannan, however they do have ones made from tofu.
