Green Tea and Acai

Hi there,

Has anyone been taken either green tea and / or acai tablets and noticed any improvement in energy, weight loss etc?? I have been taking them for the past two weeks in combination with a very strict diet and exercise programme but wonder if anyone has had success. I guess they cant hurt as they are natural supplements but just wanted some thoughts. Thanks!

I take vitamin C & Fish Oil... Fish oil actually helps you burn up to 100 more cal during excercise and vitamin C helps boost metabolism. Either way both are good for you along with a multi vitamin ❤????

I'm skeptical that what you said is true. Can you provide some references about fish oil and vitamin C?

Both are useful as anti-oxidants but not much else. Rather than taking supplements you can just drink green tea (also a good way to make sure you're getting enough fluids) and add blueberries to your diet - a lot less expensive than the supplements and equally effective (yummier too)

A little OT but "natural" doesn't always = good. It's a word that gets grossly overused, arsenic is natural but I wouldn't recommend consuming it.

Low vitamin c levels make it hard to break down fat..

Now I'm not saying go OD on vit C or fish oil. They come with other benefits as well these two along with a multi vit improve everything overall FOR ME... But everyone should take thier own personal opinion into account as well.. It's just a suggestion take it like a grain of salt ????????

I also take fish oil and a multivitamin for overall health. I had just never heard of the other "metabolism boosting" properties.

Yep maybe it's just the mental aspect of knowing it has been proven before to help weight loss . Maybe the mental aspect is all I need kind of like a placebo except with health benefits my nails grew so much I don't have to get them done anymore ???????? . And maybe it does. I take it like a grain of salt and it gives me an extra boost to go the extra mile ????
  • Thanks all for input and advice. Always good to hear other peoples experiences etc.

Yes - you are right perhaps it is a mental thing, but thats my biggest challenge - getting my head in the zone!! So whatever helps. I am sure as an antioxidant my skin, hair and nails will be benefitting also!!

I drink green tea a lot. It doesn't boost my energy, but I like the taste. I've tried a lot of things, because I struggle with energy, but the only supplement that I've observed to boost my energy and my overall wellness is wheatgrass. I have a teaspoonful of that every day in a glass of water, to make a green drink. I also find I'm less likely to get ill when I'm taking it.
