Hi guys.
How do you work out calories of home made foods?
I love home baking (muffins, cake etc as well as healthy stuff!!) but dont know how to log them on MFP. Any suggestions?

in food go to recipes and create a new recipe. And enter all the ingredients you use and decide how many servings you are going to divide it into

This is where you can look at what is giving you the most calories and look for a substitution. For example, Oil adds a ton of calories.. but if you substitute it for all natural no sugar applesauce you can really cut the calories and still maintain the flavor. In fact, I prefer applesauce in my baked goods over oil.

My recipe section is full of my foods. I love it, now I know which foods I can eat as much as I want, or if I have to go easy on them. It comes in handy. With the peach cobbler I make...I eat smaller portions now, that way I can still have some and not go over my calories. Instead of 4 servings I broke it down to 6-8 and it worked out fine.
