New to MFP

Hey everyone. I just joined MFP last week and started trying to keep track of my daily intake, as well as exercises. I'm not new to working out, but I only recently started back up. I found that when I lived with people and had to answer to someone for my choices in food, exercise, etc... I was in the best shape of my life. Now that I live alone and the closes family is over five hours away I've slipped and put on a bunch of weight.
I admittedly hate counting calories, and don't find it to be effective in the long run; however, having a community to interact with, and having my weight loss tracked publicly I think I can get that motivation back.
I look forward to meeting new people and getting back in shape!
