Quick avocado question!!

I've been eating 1/4 cup of MASHED hass avocado at a friends house and counting it has 100 calories... does that sound accurate? I've seen online that it was around that much but then someone told me it was closer to 200 cals. I'm staying at a friends so I'm unable to weigh it.

The whole Avocado w/o the pit is 250 calories, just adjust from there.

1/4 cup Avocado @ 100 calories is incorrect. I don't have the proof as I too do not have an avocado, scale and measuring cup in front of me but being as it's one of the more calorie dense foods, it's likely closer to 200 or more.

I think the 100 calories is much closer! I Googled it, and the results were pretty consistent. 1 cup has 380 calories, and 1/4 cup was listed as 92. So I would feel safe counting it as 100

If you're just ballparking it I would say that you are close enough.

I eat an avocado every day and estimate that they're about 320 calories each. They're roughly the size of a small apple, give out take.

If its really crucial, weight it out on a food scale.

According to the USDA, 1/8 cup of mashed avocado is 46 calories
