Confessions of a shopaholic

I have to admit something. I am a bit of a shopaholic. I love clothes and shopping is a weakness of mine. I never go overboard and spend like crazy (though maybe my BF might disagree sometimes...) but I do like to have new nice things every once in a while. As a girl it just makes me feel better about myself. Ladies am I right?

Since starting MFP a month ago I have lost 10 lbs and I am so proud of myself. My first thought was "I should go shopping to celebrate!" But after much thought and self control I decided not to. My overall weight loss goal is 30 but more important than dropping in size is regaining control of my life and breaking bad habits. I have reached a point where I am allowing myself to feel good about myself without all the material things. Trust me, this is a huge step for me.

So I have decided to go without buying a single new article of clothing for myself until I have lost another 10 pounds. I'm hoping this will help me stay motivated and will yield in a smaller size (!!!) to shop for once the 10 lbs is gone. Wish me luck - this will be a REAL challenge for me. Do you ever set mini-goals? What do you do to reward yourself?
