How would I calculate the nutritional value for homemade meals? I am making poppy seed chicken casserole and honey roasted potatoes tonight and I just want to make sure that I am putting in the right information.

I make sure and measure everything and then add it into a recipe on MFP...I then make sure and put in servings....0

You can google calorie counts of anything. I have a book with the counts of almost every food imaginable . I use it All the time. As a guideline. most meat is about 60 calories an ounce. Someone is going to get on here and yip about that but, close is close enough. Potatoes, average white 5 inch X 2.5 inch is about. 200. Anything packaged is labeled with nutritional counts. The book is written by Corrine T. Netzer. To measure properly you need a kitchen scale (they're cheap) and measuring cups. Dinner sounds yummy. Enjoy!0

Exactly.
Weigh and measure everything and pay attention to the serving size with respect to the nutritional value on the label. It's much easier to know the nutritional value when you prepare at home rather than eating out.0
