Hi everyone! I did an intro post about a week ago but I thought I'd make a new one here.
I'm a 25 year old grad student, and I have just started a long journey toward a better life. After years of struggling with my weight, depression/anxiety, and PCOS, I hit a high weight of 233 in March of 2010. As of August 2012, I weighed about 205. My goals are to be healthy and happy in my own skin. I don't think I'll ever be one of those women who can be 120 pounds, and that's okay with me. I want to feel strong and confident. Right now, my ultimate goal is about 155 lbs. I'm trying to break it into smaller goals.
(I'm 5'5")
Goal 1: Get under 200 lbs (for the first time since high school)
Goal 2: 185 lbs
Goal 3: 175 lbs
Goal 4: 165 lbs
Goal 5: 155 lbs (and I'll just see how I feel from there!)
I'm working on making time to cook nutritious meals for myself, and to enjoy eating healthfully to combat my long history with emotional eating/binging. I'm also trying to get in at least 45 minutes of exercise (even if that's just a long walk) most days of the week. I'm adding weight training gradually as well.
I'd love to make some new friends on here. If it sounds like we have anything in common, please feel free to send me a request!
