Confused on calorie intake.

I want to do this the right way this time. I was set at 1200/day. Doing some research on the forums and I am just getting confused. I am 226 and want to get down to 160. I am incorporating light exercise, but work pretty much a desk job all day.
I upped my calories to 1350 but so confused if I should leave it at 1200 or increase it to even more at 1400????
I don't want to gain ANY weight... But I don't want to not lose anything either!!!
What to do???

Before you start messing around with your calories....maybe you should check your actual intake. Do you currently weigh and measure your food? If not...get yourself a food scale and a good set of measuring cups/spoons.0
