Walk Off Weight - Program

I recently read the book "Walk Off Weight" by Prevention Magazine's Fitness Director Michelle Stanten. It is a good read and has some unique view points. I am wondering if anyone has tried her program? If so, please share with me some of your successes and failures, and maybe even some tips for utilizing it best. It seems too good to be true, but also something that I could do because I have never really been a runner. Walking off weight seems pie in the sky. What do you think?
