Been suffering for about a year, aggrevated by weight lifting. Has anyone actually had a similar experience and gotten back to full weight form?

My husband is the same. He using alot of ben gay (it really doesn't help much) and takes ibprofen before working out. He kind of just grins and bares it.
    Good luck.

Similar to tennis elbow is what you get from pitching, and from what my ortho says, the only thing you can do besides surgury (if it is extreme) is rest it, then see a physical therapist as there are streching exercises that they can teach you that may help. It takes time to heal, no way around it.

Tennis elbow and little leaugers elbow are simply tendonitis. Ice and anti-inflammatory meds (ibuprofen or alleve) are the most common treatment. Try extending your arm and then pulling your wrist & fingers as far back as they will go in both directions; hold the stretch. Then do with the elbow bent. Figure out which way stretches where you are most sore and do daily for 5-10 min.

As with any "-itis" rest is the only thing that will change the status. If you want to try, there are bands out there that you place just past the elbow over the tendons (like the knee strap you see a lot of basketball players wear). The theory behind these is that they compress the tendons and prevent them from moving around as much which is what causes the irritation and inflammation. Just a thought!

    Good luck!
