How can I found out how many calories ?

We got a cake today for my sons bday but there wasn't any info on it, I've looked on MFP to track food but can't find it.
It was from woolworths in the bakery section, it's a sponge cake with cream and jam and blue icing.

    1. You can try finding the nutrition facts online and enter it into MFP yourself
    2. You can call the store and ask them if they have the information
    3. You can find an item online with a similar description and use that instead

If none of those are satisfactory, you don't have any other fallbacks. The best option would be to make the cake yourself and track the ingredient list.

I normally just find an item online with a similar description and use that, I estimate a little high though just in case!

If you can find the name of the company/vendor on the label, see if there is a website or phone number online.... Im actually not surprised its not on MFP...

Do you have a smart phone? If so, try scanning the barcode label. I've found a stupid amount of foods that way.

I try to find something in the database as close as possible to what I did eat and go with that. If anything, you can overestimate how much you ate to compensate for the fact that you are not sure how many calories are in it.
