Does anybody else have issues once it gets the weekend? i am so good through the week i am like a machine! then it gets to 5.30 on friday and all my motivation just seems to disapear and i am weak to defend myself against the temptations of wine! - i am pretty good with food on a weekend - i do allow myself 200 calories more on saturdays (not including wine!).
I have tried to not drink on weekends but i find it almost impossible!

I'm a little less strict on the weekend, but I always try to stay under my calories, but I also can workout more on the weekend so it tends to even out. I love my wine Just try to find some extra time on the weekends to get a little workout in!0

yeah i think thats going to be my only option - i stick to 1000 calories monday - friday and then i do 1200 saturday and back to 1000 on a sunday - if i dont have a drink i can drop 3 pounds if i do have a drink i tend to stay the same
when i say i have a drink this would be about 2 bottles on a saturday night! :-o0 -
I have this problem!! i put on all the weight i lost in the week back on over the weekend.. sucks0

I have this problem too. However, I decided to make a change this week -- especially since I'm doing The Asylum workout. I do a 24-hour fast on my relief/rest day from Insanity [which is on saturday this week], so I'm thinking it's going to help change my weekends from being "off diet" to getting me back on track to lose more weight. Unspoken goal is to lose 5 pounds before September -- very doable just need to be better on weekends.0

I definitely have this problem too.. I usually drink one bottle of wine over the weekend, and that makes my food slip. If I cut this out, I know I would have lost more by now, but it is really hard.0

Do you think its because its a change in routine? maybe me and you need to create a weekend routine which will stop this happening - i do very little on a weekend to be honest and i also love cooking which is problem, last weekend i was much better than normal but still not as good as i should be!
I actually on friday morning (whilst very busy at work) wrote a meal plan for the whole weekend i decided what i was having for breakfast, lunch and dinner on everyday and it really worked but i did fail on the wine front still!
i guess what i should do is get rid of the wine...... i cant just have a glass i have to finish the bottle!0 -
Alcohol on the weekends is my biggest problem too., I read an article that said alcohol is basically the devil when it comes to weight loss. I guess it has something to do with stopping the liver from correctly processing fat?? When you drink, your liver has to deal with the alcohol and can't deal with the fat. Sooo... it gets stored. No idea if this is totally accurate. But it was enough to help me stop drinking so much! I'm doing a no alcohol August to see if that has any results.
I think a plan for the weekend is a great idea!!!! It will help you stick to it better!!!0 -
rather than totally dropping food by 200 every week day, try to reduce a little on Friday and Monday only but with the wine you really are not adding loads of extra cals it is more the effect on the body with water levels etc.
I balance out at the weekends by walking the dogs further and doing other activities that fit in better and sometimes I have a big breakfast and normal tea without any lunch. (if given the choice we get up late at weekends so a 400 cal breakfast at mid day means I am set until tea saving a few cals that way) We also camp a lot at weekends so that adds loads of more cal room as it takes quite an effort to pack, unpack, put up tent, pack down and unpack when home again lol so allows that extra wine sat round the camp fire at night.
Shopping, early morning run, taking kids swimming/to the park etc (if you have any) all help and fit naturally into the weekend0 -
my problem is that on my days off, when i am hanging out at home, i will just feel really hungry and eating a lot more, where when i'm at work, i'm busy and don't feel hungry (besides my lunch time) and even if i did, i don't have access to the food. I think it's more that i'm just bored, but I will suddenly feel like i'm starving and just HAVE to eat. I do try drinking water first, but it doesnt always help. I just try to make myself to extra time working out to burn the extra calories0

I have this problem as well. During the week I am pretty much spot on with my calories, but when it comes to the weekend I like to drink, go out to eat, hang out with friends, etc. It makes it harder on the weekends when everyone else is doing bad too! I am going to start trying to "bank" my exercise calories for the week. If I work out Mon-Fri (or however many days you want) and burn 200 calories (more or less) and don't use them during the week, that means I have 1,000 extra calories on the weekends to do as I please. It might not work for everyone, but the weekends are my time to let loose a little bit. Obviously I can't go crazy and drink and eat a LOT, but this allows me a little wiggle room to still have fun0
