4'10" anyone else short like me? BMI accurate?

I am 22 years old and a whopping 4'10". I weigh 154lbs, it may not sound like much but when you are short like me EVERY pound counts! According to my BMI I am considered "obese" I am not comfortable with my weight at all but before I saw that I would have never considered myself obese. I read somewhere that for anyone under 5' tall a bmi calculator isnt always accurate. According to the bmi calculator though I should be aroud 110lbs to be considered at a healthy weight. If it isn't accurate because of how short I am is there another way to figure out what a healthy weight is for me? And is there anyone else on here that is short and struggling with every lb?

BMI is not designed for individuals and is only a rough guideline at best, no matter your height. Your healthy weight depends more on body fat percentage than on gross weight.

    ^^ This

I am 5'2" - 145 lbs, normal bone structure, size 6/7 junior, with a good amount of muscle. I figure my Body Fat percentage is roughly about 23%-24%, based on photos, and my muscle development - but going by weight/height only, BMI charts still show me as overweight (which I am not)

I am "supposed" to weigh 110-120 - but when I was at that weight, with less lean muscle, I looked horrible, boney, angley, and drawn looking.

Go by Body fat, how you look in the mirror, how clothing fits, inch changes

i'm 4'11 and i decided to lose weight when i hit 148lbs. i was also considered "obese" even though i never really felt that way. i always pictured obesity as someone with numerous rolls and pendulous flesh, and i thought i was just a bit on the chubby side. i'm at 120lbs now and that's still the upper end of a "healthy" weight range, according to BMI bullcrap i should be closer to 110lbs. i got down to 113lbs back in april and i still wasn't satisfied with myself, but i was able to fit into a size 4 bridesmaid dress. the wedding's in october and i'm hoping to squeeze back into the dress by then!

I'm 5'0" and also considered obese at 149 lbs .... I'm like you not happy with my weight but never thought I was "obese" ... according to my body fat % I'm 39% and have approximately 35 lbs to be at the healthy end of the spectrum.

i'm 4'11 and according to the bmi charts i was in the "overweight" range (just barely though) at 125. i don't know how accurate that really was, but my entire family teased me about my "gut" i was getting. my sister in law told me that i looked 6 months pregnant. i'm now at the higher end of "healthy". so, i'm not so sure i trust bmi stuff.
