So I just ate a big chocolate-glazed doughnut

A bit of a splurge, I guess. I don't usually treat myself.
However, this has brought my calorie intake so far today up to 699, which is much higher than it usually is around 2pm. Will this hurt my weight loss / fat burning?

No it will not. Having a treat even once a week, provided you are working hard and doing well the other 6 days will not have an impact on your weight, and in fact, quite a few trainers seem to recommend doing this to keep you on track. I hope you enjoyed it, there is a market stall here that sells supersized doughnuts and danish pastries, as well as huge slices of cake. I have to work hard to keep on marching by each day.0

Treat yourself once a week It will not harm you...don't treat yourself "Everyday" just once a week, have a cheat day once a week :P0

Just don't eat much the rest of the day! I ate half a pint of ben and jerry's ice cream a couple days ago. xD It's totally worth it, and keeps you going because IDK about other people but I would be miserable if I couldn't eat junk food.0

I do this every Friday morning as part of a meeting I attend. I just plan on it and don't worry about it. Hasn't affected my overall weight loss.0

I agree with the rest of the posters on 1 cheat day wont affect you, but I do recommend that maybe next time that doughnut comes around, split it with a co-worker....your body was probably craving the suger and flavor you have been missing so much from dieting, but it hasent missed the portion. This way it is a win-win. You get to enjoy your treat, but you only ate half of it and maintained at least a bit of your calories for the day.0 -
No... Meal timing/frequency doesn't matter. If you stay within your calorie range/goal for the day, you will lose weight.0
