Friends and mutual support :)

Hi, my name is Cesca.

I found this site a few months ago and thought it was amazing (though for the first couple of months i was on/off it), i've lost 7 Ibs so far and even got a couple of my friends to join :)

However i'm starting to slow down on my weight loss and would love some people who are on this regularly to provide some mutual support :)

I'm 23 years old,
5 feet 8 inches
188 pounds
and i would like to lose over 40 pounds.

Looking forward to hearing from you and feel free to just add me :)

Thanks,
Cesca

    Hi Cesca!!!

Your goals seem realistic - however, I would suggest you aim for 158 and then switch to lowering your body fat percentage instead of continuing to focus on the scale number- since that affects what your body looks like more than just its gravitational pull.

This most common suggestion you're going to come across on here is to read the New Rules of Lifting for Women. Its part program, part nutrition ideas and MAJOR EDUCATION - and its actually a fun great read.

If you were my bff and you said this to me, I would buy you the book, get down on my knees and beg you to read it from cover to cover then take off like a firework!!!!!

    Hi :)
I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to reply, i was a bit nervous to be honest! Thanks for getting in touch and I've accepted your friend request :)
I based my goals on getting pretty comfortably into the BMI healthy range, i don't mind what i weigh so much as what clothes size i am to be honest, right now i'm a UK 16. I'm currently doing the 30 day shred, i'm 6 days into level 2 to try to get my inches down. I'm not a member of a gym right now but will be soon as i'll be moving to London on 15th September, i'm currently writing my dissertation.
Well done on your weight loss, 90 lbs is amazing! How long did it take you to lose it if you don't mind me asking?
I've never heard of the New Rules of Lifting sounds good though, especially as you've been so successful :) I'll have a look on Amazon now :)
